Someone from PacBell showed up at my house and took a look at the phone line saying everything looked fine. He did re-label the phone line block so that in the future other people don’t get confused. He said the test reports he was given showed that there was some kind of switching problem but that he didn’t have any extra cables to switch me to a different pair and he would have to get someone else to do it. So after he leaves, my DSL starts working again. How long will it last? I expect no more than a day or two, but in theory, there are at least 2 people who are supposed to be working on my DSL problem at PacBell now. Maybe one of them will figure out what the problem was and fix it?
