Tonight’s episode of Alias, which aired after the Super Bowl, was filled with a lot of big changes to the show. Over at the TiVo forums, there is a discussion going on and a few links about the changes. It sounds a to me like ABC is going to dumb down the show. Perhaps it makes sense to eliminate some of the elaborate plot lines and the ever silly Rambaldi prophecies. It might give them some more time to work on the characters, but it better not turn in to Felicity. Alias is now a whole new show. I hope the changes to the show gain some new viewers and keep it going.

Is it so hard to imagine ABC destroying this great show? It isn’t like they’ve killed off every other good show they’ve ever had. Oh wait, they have… Sports Night, Gideon’s Crossing, Push Nevada, etc.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers for all of you who still have the episode on your TiVo, but I will say there are going to be some HUGE changes to Dixon, Marshall and Francine.
